Federal Government Relations
The Government Relations office works with members of Ohio's Congressional Delegation and their staff to obtain support for special projects and in support of the entire Land Grant university system's priorities for research and extension. College faculty and staff who plan to seek funds directly from Members of Congress must contact Gwen Wolford prior to doing so.
A key partner in this work for the College is CARET, the Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching. CARET is a national group that has up to three volunteer advocates from each state as members. This group is our voice of advocacy in Washington, D.C. These advocates are stakeholders in research and extension programs who use their valuable time to support us. Currently we have two CARET delegates, Nate Andre and Jim Patterson. A big thank you goes to these three individuals for their work to support agriculture and our College!
