For the past ten years, Rod Bauer has been an instrumental partner with the CFAES Alumni Society with AG FallFest, and helped to make this annual event a success each year. Rod and his staff at KOVA of Ohio, Inc has been responsible for the preparation of the main entrée and vegetables served at AG FallFest. Over the years he has picked up the items, cleaned and prepared for cooking, and then cooked all the items in the Rod Bauer way for the many guests at out tailgate event. On the average this has been main entrée and vegetables for about 750 people. He often arrived at the French Field House six to seven hours before the meal was served with his entourage of trucks, cookers, personnel, and the "Gater" to move items from the cooking location to the fieldhouse in time to feed the hungry masses at FallFest.

But the greatest support he has given has been the donation of all his and his staff's time in preparing and cooking our meals for FALLFEST. Not once, even after sending requests for a bill on numerous occasions, did we ever get charged for the time and expenses of preparing our main meal items. As a result, this increased the profit each year from FallFest and as a result, the Society was able to place these additional dollars into the new CFAES Alumni Society Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment, and we were able to move it to full funding much earlier than we had anticipated. We are now awarding a scholarship annually from the fund.
