In addition to the Dean's and College Scholarship Programs, several other scholarships are available to entering freshmen and returning students that require completition of a separate application.
Selection Process
You will be considered for the special scholarships once you complete the scholarship application for that particular scholarship, which is to be returned by March 1. The eligibility criteria is listed in the description of each special scholarship. For some of the specials scholarships you may be required to participate in an interview.

Special Scholarship Applications and Guidelines to Download
Alpha Gamma Sigma Foundation Sophomore, Junior, Senior Scholarship
Supports students in agriculture with financial need and above average grades.
By filling out this application, you become eligible for the following four scholarships:
- The Donald E. & Martha L. Fogg Scholarship
- The John H. Leonard Scholarship
Ralph L. Bazler Memorial Scholarship
Income provides a scholarship for a student best exemplifying academic excellence and potential contribution to agriculture; with first preference to a junior and then a sophomore member of Beta Chapter, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, who is enrolled in a four-year curriculum in agriculture.
Wilbur H. Bruner Pork Industry Award
Income is used for encouraging undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Food , Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences or the Agricultural Technical Institute to prepare for a career in the swine and pork industry through an internship in the pork industry.
Michael Oliver Garraway Memorial Fund
Income supports one half of cost of education expense for full time enrolled student entering agricultural studies at Ohio State from Dominica or West Indies . Renewable for a total of 12 quarters enrollment if academic record is satisfactory.
Clarence A. and Beatrice E. Rohrbach Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarship support to students in the College including Ag Engineering whose attendance, along with siblings, at The Ohio State University has established the greatest number of quarters of attendance.
Medard A. J. Ruehle Memorial Award Fund
Income provides award for a student in the College who has completed six or more quarters of college work or its equivalent and has established a strong record of participation in student activities.
