There is plenty of financial aid available for those who need and qualify. Contact us early so we can help you plan ahead.

Incoming Freshmen
Several scholarships ranging in value from $1,050 up to full tuition are available to freshmen entering the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University.

Some scholarships are awarded based on how well you do in high school and your potential for academic success. Others are based on financial need, areas of study, geographic residence, experience in 4-H or FFA, or participation in extracurricular activities.

Eligibility

  • Evidence of high academic achievement indicated by a combination of class rank, SAT or ACT scores, and grade point average
  • Direct enrollment in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences
  • Enrolled first quarter freshmen or transfer student Autumn Quarter - Columbus Campus
  • Extra curricular activities will be considered
  • Financial need is not a criteria for all scholarships


Deadline and Selection Notification
Students who complete the scholarship application by March 1, will be the first considered for scholarship dollars. The on-line application is available from January 1 to March 1 each year.

Students who receive scholarships from the college will receive notification during the first part of April.

Scholarships at Ohio State are awarded on three levels:

  • University (Ohio State at large)
  • College (that's us)
  • And departments (this is your specific area of study)
