Applying to graduate school at Ohio State is not difficult, but there
are some things about the process we'd like you to know.
- When you apply for admission to graduate school, you submit your
application and all other required materials* to Ohio State's Graduate Admissions
Office.
- After the graduate school receives all of your information, it will
forward your application to the graduate studies chair of the
program to which you applied.
- Departmental faculty review applications and reach an admission
decision. They forward their decision to the university. At that time,
the university accepts or denies admission based on the department's
recommendation and university standards.
