About this program
The world runs on decisions — what to grow, where to invest, how to protect our environment and how to feed communities near and far. At the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE), you’ll learn how those choices shape the world and how you can shape them for the better.
Our students blend data and discovery to tackle global challenges in food, energy and the environment, turning big questions into practical solutions. If you’re curious about how economics connects people, communities and progress, AEDE is where your impact begins. We prepare students to lead in fields like agribusiness, environmental consulting, government policy, finance and international development.
Our faculty are nationally recognized researchers and approachable mentors who guide students through a program that balances classroom learning with practical, hands-on experience.
