About
Veterinary Technology focuses on the application of science to support animal health, clinical care, and veterinary practice. Students build a strong foundation in biological sciences — including anatomy, physiology, nutrition, pharmacology, behavior and welfare — while gaining hands-on clinical experience in diagnostic procedures, laboratory techniques, anesthesia, radiology and patient care. Graduates are prepared to serve as skilled veterinary technicians in a variety of animal health settings.

Graduates of the Veterinary Technology major are prepared to provide skilled clinical support in veterinary settings while promoting animal health and welfare.
Graduates are prepared to:
- Perform clinical and laboratory procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and radiography
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to patient care
- Practice safe, ethical animal handling and welfare standards
- Communicate effectively with veterinary teams and clients
- Prepare for credentialing as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
