About this program
The Crop Management and Soil Conservation program at Ohio State ATI prepares students for careers in the management of field and forage crops to protect and manage one of agriculture's most vital resources - the soil. Students also learn sales, consulting and other support activities for the crop producer.
Students in the program study crop production, soil science, weed control, crop diseases and forage crops, conservation practices, water management and sustainable land use. Emphasis is placed on a strong business core to enable students to successfully compete in an ever-changing agricultural industry, including report preparation, summarizing research findings and information gathering, as well as technical skills relating to the use of equipment.

Graduates work in areas ranging from biofuels and resource management to sustainable agriculture and food production.
