About
The Animal Sciences – Animal Biosciences specialization at Ohio State ATI gives you a strong foundation in animal science while preparing you to continue toward a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences at Ohio State.
You’ll gain hands-on experience working with multiple animal species while studying animal health, nutrition, genetics, physiology, reproduction and management. The program is especially well suited for students interested in veterinary medicine, animal health, research or other graduate and professional programs.
If veterinary medicine is your goal, the specialization also provides preparation for Ohio State’s Veterinary Early Commitment Program, which offers eligible students a pathway toward the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine.

What can I do with this degree?
Degree outcomes
After earning your associate degree at Ohio State ATI, you can continue to the Columbus campus to complete your bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences. From there, you can pursue careers in animal health, research, livestock production, nutrition, genetics, quality assurance and related industries.
The program also provides a strong academic foundation for students planning to apply to veterinary school, graduate school or other professional programs.
