Visit
See for yourself
A campus visit is one of the best ways to figure out if a college feels right for you. When you visit the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, you’ll see what students learn, hang out and get a glimpse of the community that could be your home.
- Walk through classrooms, labs, and hands-on learning spaces
- Meet with students who are already living the college experience
- Learn about majors and careers you may not even know exist!
- Get answers to your questions — big, small or in-between
Choose the visit that works for you
Everyone explores college in their own way. Pick the visit that fits you and your family best.

Want to explore more of campus? Use Ohio State’s online map to look up buildings, find landmarks and see parking options before you arrive.
A few simple things can make your visit easier and more fun:
- A small bag or backpack
- A phone for photos, notes and the campus map
- A water bottle and comfortable shoes – you’ll probably walk a lot!
- A pen and notebook if you take notes by hand
- A list of questions you don’t want to forget to ask
- Optional: a family member, friend or valued supporter who can help you think through what you see and hear
- A phone for photos, notes and the campus map
You don’t need to dress up – just wear something that’s comfortable for walking.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before your visit. But thinking about a few questions ahead of time can help you get the most out of your day. You might ask:
- What is it really like to be a student in CFAES?
- How big are most classes?
- What kind of support do students get if they’re struggling in class?
- What internships or hands-on experiences do students usually do?
- How easy it is to change majors if my interests shift?
- What do students do for fun on campus and in the community?
- How do you help students get ready for jobs or graduate school?
- How big are most classes?
We want your visit to be comfortable and welcoming.
If you are a family member need any accommodations – such as accessible parking, mobility support, sign language interpretation or other assistance – please let us know when you register or reach out before your visit. We’ll work with you to plan a visit that fits your needs.
