Place, who is senior director of sustainable beef production research for the National Cattlemen’s Association, spoke Jan. 11 in the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, presented by CFAES and the Ohio Beef Council. Her talk highlighted the "complexity of a sustainable food system.” Topics included greenhouse gas emissions, ecosystem services, upcycling, and land use.
