Land-Grant Mission

A modern land-grant powerhouse

CFAES grew from Ohio’s land-grant tradition of turning knowledge into impact. Founded in 1870 through the Morrill Act, our college was built to make higher education accessible and to connect learning with real-world needs. More than 150 years later, that mission still drives us — to teach, discover and share solutions for Ohio and beyond.
