K-12 School Group Tour Request Form

As of Thursday, January 1, 2026, a new policy was put into effect due to the changing construction on site at Waterman, as well as the increase in events; we have implemented an Event Parking Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). As Waterman plans for the future and welcoming more guests to experience the facilities along with faculty, staff, and students, it is important to coordinate parking to provide consistency and ensure a positive experience for our guests at Waterman.
*Depending on the number of vehicles your event will have, Waterman staff may ask you to arrange for parking offsite if we cannot accommodate the number of vehicles needed at Waterman.

- Tour times generally range from 45 minutes to 1 hour but are subject to change due to varying factors such as the size of the group, time constraints, etc.
- At this time, we do not offer individual/family tours due to staff availability. We do offer tours for groups of 10 people or more.
- For biosecurity purposes, if requesting a tour at the CEARC, please do not visit any other gardens/greenhouses/other outdoor field plots or other indoor growing areas before your tour.

The group hosting the event is responsible for rearranging the room if they would like the room set up differently than the standard classroom set up.
The group hosting the event is responsible for cleaning up any meeting space utilized. Here are a few guidelines to follow to ensure our spaces are kept neat and clean for the next group:
- Tables and chairs returned to original configuration
- Tables wiped down with the provided cleaner
- All garbage removed and placed in dumpster (see button below for map of locations)
- Restrooms left in clean and orderly condition
- All items removed from the building
- Floors vacuumed / swept as needed
- Meeting room and lobby lights turned off
- Any damage / issues reported to Waterman Staff

Currently, there are no catering restrictions at Waterman. Groups are free to choose any caterer they would like.
- Waterman hours are dawn to dusk.
- Pets must be on leashes at all times.
- Do not enter any research zones, buildings, or construction zones without a Waterman Employee.
- Do not enter any gardens flower beds or other spaces such as the Garden of Hope without an escort.
- Please reference the map below of areas where the public are currently allowed and not allowed. To ensure your safety during the construction, and the integrity of various research projects occurring at Waterman we ask that you please follow these guidelines.
- Walking, running, biking, etc. is not allowed during business hours (Monday-Friday) currently due to construction on the property.
