    No-till Field Day to be Held Sept. 2 in Western Ohio

    COVINGTON, Ohio — Soil health and water quality will be two focal points of the 2015 Ohio No-till Field Day on Sept. 2. The event will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Dan Batdorf farm, 9291 Rt. 48 (North), Covington, in western Miami County, and will feature a variety of exhibitors and speakers on a wide range of no-till topics.     SOUTH CHARLESTON, Ohio – Novice and experienced pumpkin growers and crop consultants can learn more about pumpkin production, including managing pests and diseases, at the 2015 Pumpkin Field Day Aug. 20. The event will focus on multiple topics including current and unregistered fungicides used to control powdery mildew and offer a first-hand view of their efficacy in demonstration trials, said Jim Jasinski, an Ohio State University Extension educator and Integrated Pest Management program coordinator.
