Do you like a good mystery?This SPIN Club will dive into the world of forensic science and discuss how DNA is used in criminal investigations.We will begin with an overview of the structure and function of DNA and the techniques used in the lab during investigations.The week will wrap up using this information to solve a mystery.

WHO: Students in grades 6-8

PRESENTER: Presenter: Dr. Tessa Carrel is a molecular biologist that believes in the importance of every person having a basic understanding of the science that governs everyday activities, be it moving, eating, gardening, etc. In her professional and volunteer roles, she focuses on the simplicity and application of these concepts.Dr. Carrel obtained her undergraduate education at Muskingum College and completed graduate school at The Ohio State University.
