This educational aquaponics workshop will discuss the benefits and sustainability of an aquaponics system while conserving resources. Featured speakers are Charlie Shultz, Lead Faculty in the Controlled Environment Agriculture Program at Santa Fe Community College and Jeni Blackburn, co-owner of the family-owned Fresh Harvest Farm in Richwood, Ohio, where they utilize Yellow Perch to grow produce through aquaponics. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the Ohio State University South Centers aquaponics research system. Topics covered will be beneficial to both beginners and experienced aquaponics farmers, and will include:
