Environmental Professional Network Field Trip

In Good Stewardship...an EPN field trip to Mechanicsburg, Ohio!

Join us in celebrating food, environmental sustainability and community with our friends in Mechanicsburg.  The leading topics for this program are to learn and share about the efforts by In Good Taste Catering, The Hive, and Hemisphere Coffee Roasters (each based in Mechanicsburg, Ohio) to:

-Promote stewardship for the betterment of people, profit and planet locally, regionally and globally

-Adopt and apply relevant farm and conservation efforts into business practice

-Build relationships within the local community, and into regional and global networks

-Create efforts to bring food (both livestock and crop commodities) products into supply chains, including through direct-sales to consumers

In Good Taste Catering - A 5th generation farm operation that evolved into a central Ohio catering service providing menu items from fresh produce and local producers.  Owned and operated by Amy Forest, serving over 1,000 people over the last decade including every EPN Breakfast since 2013.  Check out more here!

The Hive - From the same 5th generation farming operation as In Good Taste Catering,  Amy Forest and her daughter Lyndsey Murphy opened a Market and Deli space in the heart of Mechanicsburg.  With daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials, all sourced from local farmers, The Hive puts people and food at the top of their priority list.  Check out more here

Hemisphere Coffee Roasters - Passionate about good coffee and doing good.  Producing coffee that is grown around the world and harvested and imported directly from the farms to the warehouse.  Once there the beans are roasted to a perfect science and then packaged for selling as grounds, beans and beverage in house.  For more information click here!
