The loudest voice in the room is not always the right voice to follow, stated Suzanne Yost in her article, “Why Introverts Make some of the Best Leaders.” She shares that research shows, introverted leaders can increase profits and productivity. Why and how, will be shared throughout the workshop.

This time will focus on introverted leaders, and will provide participants with a greater understanding of how one can play off of their introvert demeanor to their benefit. Participants will also complete the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MTBI) assessment to identify their preferred interaction style with the world.

Yost also shared that these individuals are, “practiced listeners, thus they tend to listen to what others say, internalize and mull things over before coming to a calculated decision.” What other benefits do these leaders bring to the table? How can they be maximized?

More specifically participants will learn:

  • What traits make a successful leader, whether extrovert or introvert. More specifically, how can an introvert successfully cultivate these traits?
  • Learn, from research-based information, that in many cases introverts outperform extroverted leaders
  • How to use their leadership skills as an introvert to the fullest extent
  • Take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment to discover their tendencies toward introversion/extroversion
