Abdoul’s research centers on understanding and/or solving substantive economic issues primarily in the areas of environmental economics and development economics. Abdoul’s research in environmental economics seeks to empirically identify the determinants, effects, and effectiveness of voluntary pollution reduction programs, which have become an important element of Environmental protection in the US and many other countries. His recent research in development economics focuses on land ownership, credit access, and the adoption of financial and technological innovations by farmers.
