CFAES’ virtual Farm Science Review was a success, manager Nick Zachrich reported. Initial statistics show that the event’s website, which hosted dozens of live and recorded webinars from Sept. 22 to 24, saw 40,000 visits. But that figure doesn’t include visitors who shared the screens on their devices with others, Zachrich said.
“I do know of teachers who attended sessions and played them live to their class, so we know that one device could realistically have the potential of 20 views,” he said.
On social media, more than 33,000 users engaged with the show’s channels, and its Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram accounts reached more than 300,000 users in the month of September, Zachrich said.
