Volunteers needed for Pelotonia

In order to have another successful Pelotonia weekend — Pelotonia is a bicycle tour that raises money for cancer research at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – we need amazing volunteers like you! Volunteers are the heart and soul of Pelotonia weekend. We could not do what we do without each and every one of you. Volunteers are the reason the event is such a great experience for the riders because the volunteers work so hard to create a great environment.

This year, we are in need of additional volunteer support at Kenyon College in Gambier on both Saturday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 7. The areas where we need the biggest support are general volunteers, food and beverage volunteers, bike/luggage management, dorm management, entry gates, massage therapy/chiropractic, parking, and photography volunteers. If you are curious about what each volunteer activity entails, there is a full list of the activities and descriptions at Pelotonia.org; click on “Volunteer Info” under the tab marked “The Ride.” Please recruit your friends and family to join you in supporting Pelotonia. We promise you will have a blast!

Volunteer registration is easy and can be completed at Pelotonia.org — please note that every Pelotonia participant must be at least 14 years old. The entire Pelotonia community is extremely grateful for the time, talent and energy that our dedicated volunteers bring. For further information, please check out the “Volunteer Info” link. We want every Buckeye to count! When you register, be sure to connect with any Team Buckeye pelotons. If you need assistance in connecting with a peloton, please email teambuckeye@osumc.edu for assistance.

Questions about volunteering can be sent to Amber Herron at aherron@pelotonia.org. Thank you so much for your support of Pelotonia. We cannot wait to see you at the event!—Jessica Holstine, Development Communications, Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center
