Advancing research. Building careers. Strengthening our scientific community.

Postdoctoral scholars are an essential part of the research enterprise at Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). Our postdocs drive discovery, mentor future scientists and contribute to the vibrant intellectual life of the university. CFAES is committed to supporting postdoctoral researchers as they deepen their expertise and prepare for the next stage of their careers. We aim for every scholar who leaves Ohio State to have a strong professional foundation and a clear path forward.

Funding for new postdoctoral scholars

The President’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program (PPSP) recognizes exceptional postdoctoral researchers across disciplines and supports their development as future leaders in research and creative fields. The program provides up to two years of salary, full benefits, annual funds for research and professional growth and first‑year relocation assistance. Scholars also gain access to mentoring, training and networking opportunities that strengthen their career trajectories.
